In Estonia, the Traffic Act in Estland shows the upperlimits of traffic fines. Determing the final amount of the Estonian penalties is left to the police officers discretion. Also possible previous offences and other relevant circumstances are taken into account.
Calculating in fine units
The Estonian Traffic Act expresses the amount of fines in so called fine units (trahviühikut). One fine unit values EEK 60, approximatly € 4. The sanctions for speedlimit violations are registred in § 7422.| Fine | Imprisonment | |
